Today I want to share with you a superfood latte recipe which has changed my life for the good. But first let’s recap. So it’s been a while. I have missed my little blog but I have been very busy with my love of food. I have just completed the first year of my nutritional therapy course which has been so much pressure but I have learnt so much amazing knowledge. From anatomy to macro to vitamins and minerals. It’s been very in depth. Exactly what I wanted. Aside from that I have also launched a superfood powder business with my sister in law – Healthful Superfoods. The two tie in very nicely together as the business is all about making it easy for everyone to get the vitamins and minerals they need from superfoods in powder form that can be added to their everyday foods such as porridge, lattes, smoothies, yoghurt and cereal.

Back to the amazing superfood latte I wanted to tell you about. I had been seriously addicted to coffee for a long time. I’m not quite sure how it happened. I guess it was since becoming a mum, being more tired and basically in the house a lot of time to kill. The thing is though, coffee never actually helped me to feel energised or more awake, it seemed to just make me even more tired some days and other day just completely off my head, heart racing, sweating, shaking then soon to be totally crashing with a head ache. It was pretty awful but for some reason I just had to have it! Until Mo shown me her superfood powder mix which replaces coffee. It contains guarana which is actually more potent with caffeine than coffee however is much more sustainable. I didn’t crash, I didn’t sweat and my heart beat stayed at a normal rate! What also happened is I felt wide awake, more alert and energised. It really was a miracle for me. Not only was this wonderful powder giving me this perfect boost of energy it is also full of vitamins and minerals. Oh and I forgot to mention that it tastes delicious. It has a much different flavour to coffee, more earthy and sweet. The taste of coffee is definitely a unique one, and that is one of the things I craved about it but now I have the warmth and sweetness of a latte that will make me feel good.
