A detoxifying beetroot and berry juice smoothie. Great for healing the body. Detoxifying the liver, improving digestion and the immune system.

Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
200ml orange juice
1 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 fresh beetroot

Looking to detoxify and heal your body? This simple detox smoothie recipe is for you! Using just 3 powerful ingredients, beetroots, blueberries and orange juice. This smoothie will provide your body with a massive dose of antioxidants, vitamins and fiber. After an awful flare up of ulcerative colitis, this beautiful healing smoothie healed my bowel within a couple of weeks. No medication needed! The loose stool is now perfectly formed and my bowel movements are regular, once or twice a day. Nice talk for a food blog eh. But it is just so important to highlight the power that healing foods can have on the body. Tried and tested.

Detox Smoothie – Vitamin C

This detox smoothie gives an intense hit of vitamin C which will boost your immune system, protecting against viral infections. If you opt for orange juice with the bits included, you’re also consuming the amazing fiber from the orange too which is great for bowel function and improving the good bacteria balance in the gut.
