I’ve really enjoyed this unit of the function, digestion and metabolism of proteins. I now appreciate this form of energy and building block for our body and going to have fun experimenting with my own protein intake in my diet such as including protein in my breakfast to stay fuller for longer and prevent snacking in the evening. #protein #nutrition #nutritiontips #foodblogfeed #foodblogger #nutritionaltherapy #nutritionist #macronutrients #nutritionmatters

My new faaaaavourite smoothie ingredient - hulled hemp seeds. I’ve been focusing on ways to intake omegas 3 and 6 lately as I want to ensure my kids are getting it too. I’ve never liked eating fish which really pains me, I tried salmon a couple of weeks ago and it was OK. I don’t think I enjoy eating it though. I also visited a health food store in Stockton Heath called @pbpshopuk , it’s amazing, they have health foods on dispensers and you just fill up your own jars! I seen these hulled hemp seeds which are high in omega 3&6. I have used them in smoothies and it is so delicious, it gives a very nutty taste and makes the smoothie very thick and creamy, very nice for breakfast. And my kids are loving it too. This smoothie here was; vanilla almond milk, banana, passion fruit, frozen mango and hulled hemp. It was delicious! #hemp #smoothierecipes #healthfood #nutrition #passionfruit #foodblogger #foodblogfeed #deliciousandnutritious #plantbased #omega3 #poweredbyplants

Could this be true?! I have to test it out. This could explain why some months I have bad pms - when I haven’t been eating very well and some months I don’t notice it at all as I include these seeds into my diet daily when I’m keeping up the good work. #seedcycling #seedrotation #hormonebalance

Oh how I’ve missed how my body feels on a plant
Oh how I’ve missed how my body feels on a plant based diet. My gut has not been right thus my mind has not either. I see no need for meat anymore when I can have delicious dishes like this one with so much flavour and every macronutrient, fibre and micronutrients for a balanced meal. As I read more from Dr Megan Rossi - the gut health doctor, I realise the importance of fibre for gut health and digestion, to keep everything moving along and avoid that feel sluggish, tired and fat feeling that we all hate so much. This meal is very high in fibre from the Chickpeas, quinoa, spinach and tomatoes.

Chickpea, spinach and quinoa curry

- Onion
- Dijon mustard
- Garlic
- Quinoa
- Fresh chilli
- Fresh tomatoes
- Coconut milk
- Spinach
- Garam masala
- Turmeric
- Cumin
- Ground ginger
- Zaatar seasoning

A recipe from @pritchardswyd recipe book that I got for Christmas. A sweet, tangy, fresh and delicious raw salad that hits every spot on the ole taste buds. I love love love adding nuts into savoury dishes. Not only for taste and texture but for fullness from the essential fats and protein they provide. The dressing in this salad is amazing, including whole grain mustard which I’m usually not keen on but it really does add an amazing punch to this salad. #rawvegan #vegandressings #plantbased #salads #vegan #vegansalads #saladbowl #delicious #healthysalads #rawfood #foodblogfeed #healthyrecipes
