- 4 dates
- 2 tbsp our chocolate one superfood mix

I love finding new ingredients. I found this edamame and mung bean pasta in Holland and Barret. It is high in protein, fibre and is gluten free. After this unit on carbohydrates I have a new appreciation for fibre. Fibre is a complex carbohydrate that resists digestion in the body, the complex structure of fibre is thought to catch cholesterol in the digestive tract and take it out of the body. This clearing out of cholesterol reduces the risk of heart disease. Because fibre has a complex structure that isn’t or takes longer to break down it makes us feel fuller for longer.
